Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. Psalm 91:1-2
No matter what is happening around me I choose to trust you. Help me to rest secure in the shelter of your presence today.
The “what ifs” of life are huge. I stopped watching the news regularly a few years ago. I found the steady stream of bad news and turmoil in the world kept my heart stirred up. There are no two ways about it, sometimes life is just hard. If we look to the security that money, a job, education, or relationships bring we will be disappointed. But there are no what ifs about God. His authority and power alone brings peace. I remind myself daily that he alone is my safety, the one my heart trusts.
Question: When life is challenging where do you turn for comfort and safety?
