Now listen, daughter, don’t miss a word: forget your country, put your home behind you. Be here—the king is wild for you. Since he’s your lord, adore him. Psalm 45:10-11 Msg
Overwhelm me with the fierceness of your love today, Lord. Show me the vastness of your affection for me
As a victim of many years of sexual abuse by many hands it has been very difficult for me to ever see myself as beautiful, or wanted. So when I hear God say he thinks I’m beautiful… that he pursues me, that he is wild for me, it touches me in a way I scarcely let myself believe I need. And yet he does see me that way. He sees you that way. He sees us not by our stains or our sins, our imperfections, or labels. He sees us as he has created us to be. Amazing, holy, beautiful, bright, pure, loved. He created us to be his bride. His love. His most dearly created treasure. I will press in to his fierce love and acceptance. I will cling to him and believe that he is wild about me! And I will let the love he has for me define me.
Q: How badly do you need to believe today that Jesus sees you as beautiful, pure, lovely, accepted? How much do you need to know that you are pursued?
