When you believe something in your heart it comes out in how you act. You believe the sun will rise every morning so you wake up. You believe your mom when she says dinner is ready so you sit at the table. You believe your teachers when they say that homework is due, so you do it. God says that when we believe in our hearts that Jesus is Lord and confess with our mouths that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved. Do you believe Jesus is Lord, ruler over all? Does what you believe reflect in how you act?
1. What ways will believing in Jesus come out in how you act every day?
2. God gave you a free gift you don’t have to do anything but accept and believe. Have you?
3. What do you think the verse means when it says, “by grace you have been saved through faith”?
Talk about what it means to be saved by grace through faith. Share how your belief in Jesus affects your day to day life.
Dear God, thank you for the free gift that you have given me. Help me to believe in you and help my belief to make a difference in my life and be evident to others. Amen.
Let your child practice wrapping boxes, or wrap a gift for someone. Talk about how the gift of salvation is a FREE gift from God that you simply need to receive.
