Praying for your Kids through the book of James – Day 1

Praying for your Kids through the book of James – Day 1

Today’s Prayer:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. – Jam 1:2-4 NIV

Praying through James for our Kids Day 1

Today’s Prayer:

“May my kids persevere in testing so that they will become mature, complete and not lacking anything.” James 1:3-4

Today’s Encouragement:

My mother has always called me “the most persistent child God has ever created”. It meant I drove her crazy by pestering her to death for whatever I wanted. I’m still a bit that way. (prayers and condolences are accepted for my husband)

This is not the kind of persistence James is talking about here. Not a stubborn will to get what you want. Instead the kind of persistence he is talking about is the one that refuses to lose hope in the midst of a trial. The one who will stand in faith regardless of what threatens. The reward? Maturity, Completeness, Perfection. While the trial may be hard, the promises are certainly worth rejoicing over. Stand firm in your faith today!

Q: What fiery trial threatens your family right now? How can we pray for you?
