Missions Friday – Revisiting Respire Haiti

It was July of last year when we first introduced you to Megan Boudreaux, the amazing woman who bravely started the ministry Respire Haiti as a single 24 year old woman.

This ministry exists to rescue the most vulnerable children… Restaveks, orphans, and children in, or vulnerable to, slavery.

It’s incredible how much she has built in the 3 years since she started this ministry. I am in awe at all the Lord has accomplished through her willingness to go where the Lord called her. Here is a short list of the ministries they have built or are in the process of building….

*Freedom House: A home that houses girls who are in severely abusive Restavek situations.

* Feeding and discipleship program every Saturday morning and afternoon where they feed around 350 children. Their mission is to teach these children about their Identity in Christ while giving them nutrition they desperately need!
*A Christian School : as of January 2014, Respire Haiti Christian School has over 500 students in 14 classrooms.

Grades Kindergarten to 9th grade
Special Needs Class
Employ over 100 local Haitians.

* Close to finishing up construction of the Love+1 Medical Clinic.

* Owns 6 acres of land with future plans of a Community Center and Church.

Truly, when the Lord decides to do something through a life completely yielded to him amazing things can happen!! Hallelujah!

I will tell you, I love all that has been built. But what I love more is to hear the incredible, faith inspiring, stories I read from Meagan’s blog about miraculous healings, hearts changed, lives restored, and children rescued. Please take a moment and read through some of the links below.
